You are asked to help out in the merchandise department. You sell £750 worth of £30 math teaching kits. How many kits did you sell?  You also sell £350 worth of £25 maths starter kits. You think you sold 14. Select the correct inverse calculation below that would allow you to check your answer.  14 ÷ 25 =

Question
Answer:
To find the answer to both questions you'd have to divide.

If you sold 750 pounds worth of 30 pound math teaching kits we'd divide 750 by 30 to see how many we sold.

750 divided by 30 = 25.

So we've sold 25 math teaching kits.

Now for the starter kits, we've sold 350 pounds worth of 25 pound math starter kits so again we would divide -

350 divided by 25 = 14. so we've sold 14 math starter kits.

To inverse the calculation it means that we have to change the sign we're using to find out the sum which right now we're using division so we'd change it to multiplication.

So we'd multiply 25 by 14 and that'd equal 350 which is correct.

Hope this helps :)
